Dr Jamie Phillips | Elite Goalie Method: The Hardest Goalie Move - Butterfly Overlap to RVH
Video Description
Before I go any further, 1. he’s just skating and that's okay. Two: yes, Demko is better than I ever was. 3. I make these videos not to critique NHL guys but to help young (and old) goalies learn.
Had to get that out of the way early because whenever I critique an NHL goalie I get a bunch of comments and messages telling me I’m jealous. • I actually could care less about which goalie I’m talking about. I don’t play goalie anymore. I train athletes, coach goalies and study to be a doctor of PT. • Anyways, when I find too many goalies either don’t know, or struggle to enter the RVH from a butterfly overlap. • To be fair, it is probably the hardest skating movement a goalie has to do. • Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done. It means you need to work on it until you can do it correctly. • There’s no taking shortcuts in this game if you want to play at a high level. • Listen to the video for the break down. There is a longer, more detailed version on my youtube that also comes with a drill to help you practice this transition. • Just youtube Jamie Phillips, it should pop up • For coaching, consultations and custom workouts and nutrition visit 🔗 bio! • • • •

Episode Description
Todays Guest: Katie Cummings Todays guest is someone who represents what this show is all aboutcommitment, grit, and the love of the game. Katie Cummings didnt grow up in a hockey-crazed town or follow the traditional pipeline to success. She built her journey out of passion and persistence in a place where rinks were scarce, girls teams were barely formed, and playing opportunities meant lacing up for three different teams in a single season. From practicing on a mini-rink in Nashville to eventually becoming a national champion with the Jr. Preds U19 girls program, Katies story is a powerful reminder that you dont need perfect circumstances to chase big dreams. You just need drive, creativity, and the willingness to go all in.This is a story about breaking barriers, holding the line when it would've been easier just to quit, and leaving a legacy for the next wave of girls who want to play this great game. Lets dive into the inspiring hockey journey of Katie Cummings!!
