In this video, Lloyd shows you how to do a forward inside mohawk on ice. This can be a tough move to learn at first, but it is very important. The main thing is to focus on opening the foot enough to be able to step to backwards comfortably.
You should be able to do basic forward skating and basic backward skating before trying this. Being comfortable doing one foot glides forward and backward is also important.

Train 20 Hockey: How to Skate Like Nathan MacKinnon
Video Description
Tired of being slow or want to level up your forward stride to Nathan MacKinnon levels? Join Downhill Skating Coach Spencer White as he gives us three tips, drills and how you can bring his skating mechanical advantage into your game.
🔑 Key #1: Y Angle - Learn the art of ankle collapse, mimicking MacKinnon's low Y angle for optimal stride efficiency. Drills include the Ankle Collapse Walk, Ankle Rolls, and the Ankle Collapse Stride Auxiliary.
🔑 Key #2: Shin Angle - Distinguish knee bend from shin angle and build the feel of getting your knee forward. Practice with Shin Angle Drops and the MacKinnon Knee Forward Auxiliary.
🔑 Key #3: Heel To Toe Rocker - Explore how pressure moves along the blade rocker, emphasizing the Heel To Toe motion. Master the Moon Rock drill and integrate it into your stride with the Stutter Stride for an effective blend of control and speed.
🚀 These drills, developed at Train 2.0 and are tried and tested for significant progress. Remember, the forward stride is a complex but foundational movement, and these keys provide a solid starting point. Hockey Training: 30-Minute Stickhandling Session (Follow Along!)
Video Description
Upgrade your hands with this 30-Minute Follow Along Stickhandling Session that you can do from home!
All you need is a stick, 6 pucks, and a little bit of space to stickhandle. I'm using synthetic ice tiles and a dangle puck, but this can be done on concrete or any hard flooring with a green biscuit or similar puck.
If you enjoyed this session, you'll love the stickhandling sessions that I upload each month to our app - Hockey Training TV.
I recommend all players stickhandle for 10 minutes 2x per week (but preferably up to 7x per week). Check out the Hockey Training TV or this Connor Bedard follow along session on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOni5VdW9vE
Let's go!
