In this video, Lloyd shows you how to do a forward inside mohawk on ice. This can be a tough move to learn at first, but it is very important. The main thing is to focus on opening the foot enough to be able to step to backwards comfortably.
You should be able to do basic forward skating and basic backward skating before trying this. Being comfortable doing one foot glides forward and backward is also important.
