Summary

"Was für ein Profil haben deine Kufen?" Wenn ich diese Frage stelle, bekomme ich sogar von vielen Profis einen leeren Blick. Dennoch ist das profilieren von Schlittschuhkufen ein wichtiges Thema, das sowohl Profis wie auch Amateure helfen kann, ein bisschen mehr Leistung aus ihren Schlittschuhen zu bekommen.

Das Profilieren von den Eisen ist nichts Neues: ich habe vor ca. 20 Jahren in Kanada mein erstes Profil bekommen. In Deutschland ist es dagegen für viele Spieler und Spielerinnen ein noch unbekanntes Thema, das zwar schon im kommen ist, aber immer noch in den Kinderschuhen steckt. Aber hey: vielleicht wird Profiling nach diesem Video etwas bekannter: mich würde es persönlich sehr freuen!

Inline Skating Transitions Part Two: Backwards To Forwards Tutorial

Part two of my transitions tutorial on inline skates! In part one we covered transitioning from forward to backward skating and going back in the other direction. In this video I teach you how to do just the opposite: skating backwards, transitioning and going back forward!

An important skill to learn for both recreational skaters and inline hockey players alike, and a skill that feels super smooth once you get the hang of it.

At the end of the video, I give you a little bonus: my favourtie drill for rollerblading or on ice training for transitions. Tons of reps in a really short period of time.

Inline Skating: Forward To Backward Transitions From Beginner To Pro!

Summary

Forward to backward transitions on inline skates are a little bit trickier than on the ice, where I usually coach my players.

On-ice, you can slide into the transition. On rollerblades, you can't. So we have to learn them a bit differently, but if you follow my step to step build up in this video, you'll be transitioning with ease in now time! We start really slowly, and build the transition up step by step, so that my viewers who have just started inline skating can start working on the skill. Towards the end of the video, I show you some pro tipps for those of you who can already transition quite well but want to take their skating game to the next level!

Kufen Für Synthetisches Eis: Sharkblades Review!

Summary

Das Laufen auf synthetischem Eis kann ein ziemlich cooles Training sein, aber es gibt ein paar Dinge, die mir daran nicht gefallen: es ist extrem anstrengend, und es ist sehr schwer, überhaupt richtig ins Gleiten zu kommen. Außerdem müssen die Schlittschuhe nach so gut wie jeder Nutzung geschliffen werden.

Hier kommen die Sharkblades ins Spiel: sie wurden speziell für synthetisches Eis entwickelt. Sie bieten besseres Gleitverhalten, müssen nicht geschliffen werden und man kann trotzdem alle Moves auspacken die man auch auf normalem Eis machen kann! In diesem Video zeige ich den Aufbau der Sharkblades und wie man sie an den Schlittschuhen montiert (was kinderleicht ist); außerdem unterziehe ich sie verschiedenen Tests auf die synthetischen Platten. Am Ende gibt es mein ehrliches Fazit mit allen Vor- und Nachteilen. Ich stehe in keiner geschäftlichen Verbindung zu Green Hockey / Sharkblades.

The New And Improved Toe Drag Tutorial

Small Area Ice Skating Drills

Summary

There are many options outside of regular team practices to work on your skating skills.

I spent a ton of time at public skating when I was a kid, and I see a lot of players out there nowadays as well. There's just one problem: it can get pretty darned packed out on the ice. No linear crossover, no long strides, no top speed: it just gets too dangerous. However, there is often a small strip of ice somewhere in the corner where the recreational skaters aren't crowding the entire time; a small area where you can still work on your skills amongst the crowd. In this video I block off a really small piece of my backyard rink, and show you some drills that require no material and hardly any space, but will still really improve your skating. Have fun trying them out!

Powerskating: Combo Übungen!

Summary

Oft werden Powerskating Übungen für das Eishockey isoliert trainiert: Innenkante, Außenkante, Bogenfahren, Übersetzen, usw.

Alles getrennt voneinander. Nur im Spiel, ist man zum Beispiel vielleicht kurz auf der Innenkante bevor man mit einem Crossover (Übersetzer) wieder Schwung aufnimmt. Man läuft keine 6 Kurven hintereinander auf der Innenkante im Spiel. Deshalb ist es auch wichtig im Training Powerskating Übungen miteinander zu kombinieren. Es macht die Sache auch interessanter und stellt auch eine größere Herausforderung da. In diesem Video zeige ich euch zwei "Combo Skating" Übungen die ich gerne mit unseren Spieler im Verein mache.
