This post collects those facilities in one place: name, address, phone, and the website VSAHA links for each rink. Confirm hours and programs with the facility before you travel. VSAHA also links locally hosted youth hockey organizations from that same page.

\nIce Vets Adaptive Sports is a regional organization that runs adaptive sports for veterans with disabilities, including a sled hockey team. Vermont Amateur Hockey Association lists Ice Vets among the state's sled programs. The organization is based in Vermont (Ice Vets Adaptive Sports Inc., P.O. Box 343, Barre) and works across northern New England.
\nVSAHA says Ice Vets established a sled hockey team that is a member of USA Hockey and plays a full schedule of practices and games. The organization provides equipment, coaching, and ice time. The listing emphasizes camaraderie: participating in a team sport can restore some of the joy that can be lost when a veteran has a disability.
\nThe main focus is veterans. Ice Vets also volunteer at rinks around the region to help local groups introduce sled hockey to other community members with physical challenges. VSAHA says the group planned to add more adaptive sports for veterans in northern New England.
\nVermont Public reported that David Santamore, a former Marine, is a co-founder of the Ice Vets sled hockey team. Coverage of Ice Vets clinics has included James W. Campion III Rink in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.

\nThe Sled Dogs are the sled hockey team of Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC). Vermont Amateur Hockey Association lists the team on its sled programs page. The Dogs play out of Fenton Chester Arena in Lyndon, in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, while ASPNC itself is based in Franconia, New Hampshire.
\nAdaptive Sports Partners is a nonprofit that offers year-round sport, recreation, and wellness for people with disabilities. Its stated mission is to empower people with disabilities in the North Country of New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont by building community, confidence, and skills through sport, recreation, and adventure. VSAHA describes the Sled Dogs as one of those programs.
\nA 2015 Lyndon clinic, organized with ASPNC executive director Sandy Olney, helped bring the sport to Fenton Chester Arena. Olney said Jim Davis suggested starting sled hockey there after watching the U.S. team at the Winter Olympics, and that Ice Vets provided the equipment to get started. VSAHA still lists Sandy Olney as the North Country Sled Dog representative.

\nThe Vermont Sled Cats are the sled hockey program of the Northeast Disabled Athletic Association (NDAA). Vermont Amateur Hockey Association lists the team among the state's sled programs. The Sled Cats have used Cairns Arena in South Burlington as home ice since the program started in 2005.
\nNDAA says the team was founded in April 2005. VSAHA describes the same start: a four-person group that grew into a program of about 25 players by the 2015-16 season. NDAA later wrote that at its peak the roster spanned ages 5 to 65.
\nThe program is for people with physical disabilities who want to play and compete in sled hockey. NDAA describes the game as 5-on-5 hockey in sleds raised just off the ice. Players use two sticks, each with a blade on one end and a pick on the other. Athletes with significant mobility or dexterity limits can play with a pusher, who moves the sled while the player works the puck.
\nThe Sled Cats were regular competitors in the Northeast Sled Hockey League. NDAA states they withdrew from NESHL for the 2018-2019 season and chose an independent schedule instead.
