Episode Description
Summary
The Winnipeg Jets' System Was Connor Hellebuyck
For years the Jets had a system, and the system was Connor Hellebuyck. On Friday they traded him to the New Jersey Devils. So can the Jets change who they are with the same coach and the same GM?
I go back to the film from the Presidents' Trophy season and the 2025 playoffs, show what the Jets look like now with Stuart Skinner in net, break down what Dawson Mercer brings, and lay out the change I'd make tomorrow if I was behind that bench. Defend like Vegas now, skate like Utah later. And the bigger question for every fan base: is your goalie your system?
