Episode Description
Summary
Ballistic training (where you accelerate through the entire movement) is proven to boost sprint speed, agility, and power faster than traditional lifting alone.
One study showed that 8 weeks of jump squats significantly improved sprint times and jump height. Another found hockey players who added plyometrics improved on-ice acceleration more than those doing strength work alone.
Further:
Ballistic training also sharpens neuromuscular coordination—helping you fire the right muscles at the right time.
Bottom line?
If you want to skate faster and shoot harder, you need to train for it.
